New Ducati Monster India launch tomorrow: what to expect

After launching a series of flagship products like Panigale V4, Streetfighter V4 and Multistrada V4 in India, Ducati is preparing to launch one of its most popular motorcycles. The iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer will launch Monster in India tomorrow. It is the new generation model that was unveiled worldwide last year. The naked streetfighter is currently available in India for a nominal fee of 1 lakh. In its new avatar, the Monster is very different from its predecessor and is more feature-rich than before. But that’s not all because the new Monster is powered by a new, more powerful engine.

The new Monster will be powered by a 937cc Testastretta L-twin engine which also powers the recently launched SuperSport 950. This powertrain will develop 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This will be offered in combination with a six-speed transmission and an assisted slip clutch.

As mentioned earlier, the new Monster is also more feature-rich than its predecessor. It will come with provisions such as three drive modes, a traction control system, a Ducati power launch system, power modes, wheel control and a 4.3-inch TFT dashboard.

The all-new Ducati Monster also benefits from more sophisticated hardware compared to its predecessor. The bike uses 43mm inverted forks and an adjustable preload monoshock with a double-sided aluminum swingarm. Stopping power, meanwhile, includes dual 320mm front discs and a single 245mm disc brake as well as Brembo calipers.
