Tight battle to complete the Melges 24 regatta in Trieste

The last day of the Melges 24 regatta in Trieste showed the sailors heavy rain and lack of wind in the morning, but in the end two great races were managed by PRO Dario Motz. The battle for victory was really close. The victory of the first race of the day went to Skoropios by Alberto Venuti and White Room by Michael Tarabochia won the final race in Trieste.

Melgina was the leader at the start of the final day, one point ahead of Richard Thompson’s Black Seal of the United Kingdom, piloted by local Stefano Cherin. Black Seal scores 5-2 and Melgina 3-6, making them level on points at the end of the regatta, but better placement in the final race secures victory for Stefano Cherin leading Richard Thompsons Black Seal with Nigel Young, Andrea Tesei, Ewan O’Keefe and Sara Zuppin in the crew.
